Most people would agree that their weight loss goals are a strategy to achieving something else that has a deeper meaning for them. For many, this deeper meaning may be to feel more attractive, to avoid health issues, to provide a positive role model for their children, or simply to have the satisfaction of knowing they are respecting their bodies and living up to their potential. Whatever your reasons, we will keep you focused on your bigger goal, the why you want to lose weight. Your will power will come from remembering what you want the most!
In the course of your sessions, we will discuss the negative mindsets that inhibit successful weight loss, and help you develop coping strategies to avoid patterns that may be getting in your way. Common negative mindsets include “all or nothing thinking”, the “quick fix” mentality, resisting responsibility and weight fixation.
We will help you “fill in the holes” and provide you with the skills and tools you need to manage positive eating and exercise behaviors. Depending on your circumstances, we will support you with any or all of the following:
- Balanced meal planning
- Healthy eating “on the go”, dining out and take out options
- Kitchen cupboard makeover & grocery shopping strategies
- Cooking and recipe ideas
- Exercise guidelines and strategies to integrate more physical activity into your life
- Actual training sessions to build your physical fitness skills
- Tools to help you plan and track your behaviors and activities
- Creative use of online tools and Apps
We recommend that all of our clients begin with our Introductory Offer. In this two session package, we do a thorough assessment of your eating and exercise habits, your lifestyle and your present health and fitness level.
Introductory Offer – $139
Session One (1 ¼ hour): Our focus is on nutrition. We look at what and why you eat what you do, develop balanced meal plans that address your needs, assess your body composition and set realistic goals.
Session Two (1 hour): Our focus is on exercise. We review the fundamentals of physical fitness and determine personal guidelines to ensure your exercise routines are both safe and challenging. We review techniques to help you increase your caloric expenditure and set performance goals to keep you motivated.
